Des Moines North PG Tyreke Locure commits to South Alabama

Des Moines North point guard Tyreke Locure, an All-Iowa Elite team selection in boys' basketball, ended his recruitment on Saturday by committing to South Alabama.

Locure, who tweeted his decision, led North to a 20-4 record in 2017-18 and was a dominant two-way player in Iowa's biggest classification. He finished with 94 steals and averaged 28.1 points for North. 

He was being monitored by Iowa and others. 

Locure, who will be a senior, is originally from the New Orleans area.
