Iowa State has scheduled an official recruiting visit with one of its top targets.

The Cyclones will host four-star Texas combo guard Anthony Black for an official visit June 22-24, a source with direct knowledge of the recruitment told the Des Moines Register on Saturday. Black, a 6-foot-7 lead guard who is blowing up on the spring AAU circuit, is the No. 59 prospect in 2022, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Iowa State extended an offer to Black on April 29 amid of a flurry of offers he received, including from Minnesota, Creighton, Arkansas, North Carolina State, Ole Miss, Illinois and Oklahoma. Texas and Oklahoma State offered last summer and are also heavily in the mix for Black, who also holds various Power Five offers in football.

Even though he lives in the Dallas area, Black has a Midwest tie. Black's dad is Terry Black, a Baylor Hall of Famer who grew up in Milwaukee (attended Messmer High) and played two seasons at Ottumwa's Indian Hills before heading to Baylor in 1999. Cyclones head coach T.J. Otzelberger and assistant coach J.R. Blount have deep tiesin Milwaukee, and Black played at Indian Hills right after assistant coach Daniyal Robinson's two years there.

Black is one of two 2022 targets who hold Iowa State offers right now. The other is four-star wing Alex Karaban, who's playing at the New Hampton School in New Hampshire.

Iowa State head coach T.J. Otzelberger is set to host Anthony Black for an official recruiting visit June 22-24.
