Iowa State basketball's Izaiah Brockington, George Conditt IV decide to turn pro

Izaiah Brockington, Iowa State’s top basketball player, is turning pro. So is his running mate George Conditt IV. 

The pair are leaving the program after leading to the Cyclones during a remarkable journey that ended with a loss against Miami in the Sweet 16.

Brockington posted a goodbye message to Iowa State fans on Monday morning and Conditt did the same later in the day. 

It’s not exactly earth-shattering news that Brockington, the Penn State transfer, is finished after his one-and-only season at Iowa State. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 16.9 points, while shooting 46.7% from two-point range. He also averaged 6.8 rebounds a game in leading the Cyclones during a surprising 2021-20 season.

Conditt, a senior with an extra year available to him because of the pandemic, averaged 4.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in a bounceback season for him.
